Life experiences have guided Jason through many different adventures. As a result of dedication and intense training he was a member of the 2002 Olympic Team in long track speedskating. He set the American Record in the 10,000 meter speedskating event with a time of 13:32.99 and a 12th place finish.
To this day, Jason enjoys telling people about his Olympic journey and what it takes to set and reach a BIG goal. As a financial advisor, he uses his goal setting and investment expertise to give clients guidance along their personal journey of money management.
Jason lives in Monument, Colorado with his wife, Kris, and their four children, Henry, Joshua, Erik, and Naomi. Although he has moved to Colorado, Jason still visits his White Bear Lake office frequently to meet with his clients.

Char is a health insurance broker with over 28 years of experience - 15 of those years were spent working at Medica and HealthPartners. Since joining Focal Point in 2012, she strives to provide peace of mind to clients when assisting them in choosing a health insurance carrier and benefit plan.
Char resides in Nowthen, Minnesota. In her free time she enjoys sewing, being with her family and spending endless hours on the MNsure website!
Carly Schoon
Assistant
Carly is an assistant to Jason joining Focal Point in 2021. She brings over ten years of experiance in the finance industry.
Carly lives in New Richmond, Wisconsin with her husband, Blake, they have four children, Sophia, Bryce, Ava, and Aubrey. In her spare time she enjoys reading and being outdoors with her family.
Becky Horton
Assistant
Becky is an assistant to Jason and is excited to have joined our Focal Point team in November 2021, after relocating from sunny Los Angeles to Circle Pines.
Becky and her husband Wesley celebrated 20 years of marriage January 2023. Together they have three kiddos, Dominic, Kylie, and Micah. In her spare time, Becky enjoys sewing and crafting. Currently, she’s perfecting an original teddy bear pattern. She loves having fun with her family, playing laser tag, biking, kayaking, and taking advantage of everything the four seasons have to offer!
